35 Weeks - Applause!

When your cousin Bryson had his 9 month check up there were some things that raised my eyebrows.  Bryson had been walking for a month at that point and from what I remember being told his doctor was less than impressed.  Instead she was more focused on the fact that he wasn't waving and clapping.  Very interesting, I thought.  Of course at the time you were only 3 months old and we had no idea what a terror you would be, walking just after 7 months.

Well, fortunately for use we don't have to endure a doctor telling us that walking is no big deal and we should be encouraging clapping and waving.  Well waving you haven't done yet, but clapping you have down in spades!  You clap when others clap, you clap along with the music on Elen when you watch with your mom, you clap when people say "Yay!"  When in the right mood you will clap for just about anything.  It is a new skill that you just love to show off.  Unfortunately this is one of those skill developments that is hard to get a picture of.  So you will have to trust me.

Also of note, we went to your cousin Trenton's blessing and saw him for the first time.  We also went to a park and got to go down slides and play outside.  You even got to see Uncle Joe and Aunt Dani's dog!

Going down the slide with Addison.

Showing off how you get around.

So excited to be outside and play!!

Fun with momma!

... and daddy!

Is this a toy, too?

On a walk with daddy.

That's not a toy, either!

Nice doggy!
Edit on 3/17/2011 - I can't believe I forgot to mention this but you also just turned 8 months old.  Some day when you have kids of your own you will look back and marvel, as we did, how fast you developed.  At least I hope your mom and I can marvel at it because I don't know if I can handle any more little ones as adventurous and fast growing as you!
